We were in charge of incorporating microCMS into the YAWN YARD Kouri Island website.
Introducing the YAWN YARD website
"YAWN YARD," planned and operated by Kashiwabara Hands Co., Ltd., embodies "another way of relaxing" that brings people and nature closer together as "gardens where you can stay," offering a unique lodging experience that makes use of the climate, geography, and lifestyle aesthetics of each region. The first facility opened in September 2024 on Kouri Island, a remote island in Okinawa Prefecture.
In preparation for the opening of YAWN YARD Kouri Island, the Nippon Design Center (NDC) is handling the art direction, concept and naming development, and website production for this project.
Our company was in charge of implementing the news function using microCMS.
The completed website embodies YAWN YARD's approach of "creating another way of relaxation that brings people and nature together through dialogue with the local climate and lifestyle aesthetics."
All of the photographs were newly taken to fully convey the charm of the inn. The rich visuals express the space in harmony with the nature of Kouri Island, Okinawa, and the peaceful flow of time during your stay.
NDC handled everything from naming to copywriting, allowing guests to imagine their time spent at YAWN YARD from the perspectives of "garden," "living," and "food."
Creating visuals and copy is an essential element in expressing a worldview. However, visual appeal alone is not enough to provide an excellent web experience. Creating a system that allows users to use the service without stress is also important.
The news function we implemented is one example of this. One of the attractions of YAWN YARD is spending time together with the changing nature, and in order to have a comfortable stay while feeling the daily changes, the delivery of timely information is required. By incorporating microCMS, which can be operated intuitively, and creating an environment where on-site staff can post news, we have achieved the rapid delivery of notifications according to the situation.
