AI music generation app "SUNO" demonstration experiment

  • column

Even though they say "it's easy to make music with AI," it takes a fair amount of time to get past the lyrics and the AI's arbitrary generation and come up with a decent song to create. In fact, it's so fun that you'll definitely end up wasting your time with this app.

In the US, major record companies have filed lawsuits against it, and there are endless rumors about it that are reminiscent of Napster, but as long as it's fun, it's fine, right? I think it's an irresistible product for music lovers. Actually, I'm scared of how it will evolve from here... I spent last week's night and weekend playing it, but I'm worried about running out of tokens and not getting enough sleep, so I've decided to hold off on it until next month. Anyway, since it's a shame to waste it, I'll share my summary and results.

At first I was just playing around, because it would create a song just from the title lol

Small business president

Liberogic Inc. company songOr something like that

I used to make up other people's songs and laugh at them together, but I gradually got more into it and started thinking, ``Can't I do something like this?''ordinary elationWhile doing this, I started to get greedy.

No.1

rhythm

This is an FM STATION-esque song that was completed with just one 'Tru-Tu-Tu' extension. It has a great Showa-era feel to it.

Whimsical Cat

I created these lyrics for a cat song using GPT and made some amazing adjustments to the endings and other things. I was trying to make them cute, but they ended up sounding like a funky Gen Hoshino song, so I changed it to a selfish girl song. There are many other versions too.

・Actually it was this one...Cat teasing

・A Tomita Lab + Kirinji version will be releasedKirinji the Cat

It's quite difficult to create what you want, as you have to create a lot of songs, adjust any parts of the lyrics that seem unrealistic, and then create a different song.

Let's have fun together

I wanted to make a song that sounds like Paprika, but after trying things like adding a female vocalist, it ended up sounding a bit different. But the part where the chorus drops to a minor note sounds professional, so I chose this one! It took two extensions to complete!

Night Butterfly

I wanted to make something that sounds like Shiina Ringo, so I used GPT to edit the lyrics of Yoru no Onna (Lady of the Night) a lot. I couldn't get the SKA-like feel right, so I made a lot of adjustments, and finally finished something that's about the quality of a throwaway track from an album. The faint laughter at the end is great. No one reads the FADEOUT tag at all. Anyway, I've somehow figured out the trick and how to make it, so if you're interested, I'll teach you. It's not that difficult though ♪ I've come to the conclusion that it's better not to resell it for now! Or so I thought.

No.5,6

Damn, I've been writing only pop songs, so I really wanted to write English lyrics in my favorite style, and ended up staying up until 5am! So I'm releasing two hardcore songs with a math rock vibe! Writing lyrics with GPT is hard work.

Ordinary Life

Whatever

I've made something super cool! I'm not doing it anymore! Time is just flying by! I'm definitely not doing it anymore!

So, thank you for your time!

I don't think it will resonate with anyone other than music lovers.
