GAAD (Global Accessibility Day) was launched in 2012 as a day to consider accessibility in the digital field (Web, software, mobile, etc.). Every year on this day, various events and activities are held around the world.
"GAAD Japan" was first held in 2020 as an online seminar for the Japanese domestic market, and this year marks its seventh consecutive year of hosting.
The purpose of this day is to provide an opportunity for everyone to talk, think, and learn about digital accessibility (web, software, mobile, etc.) and users with various disabilities.
GAAD is for everyone involved in creating, providing, and influencing technology and opportunities for its use, including those in design, development, usability, and other related communities. Many people who are interested in making technology accessible and easier to use for people with disabilities often don't know where to start or how to proceed.
